Rounded rocks are mostly rounded but always will have some sharp and rough edges. Seldom do these rocks have flat surfaces.  Most rounded rocks are somewhat flat-potato shaped. However there will still be all different kinds of shapes that will come in the rounded rock option.

Square rocks will usually have more flat surfaces and many more jagged edges than the rounded rocks. They are almost never exactly square. This shape is the easiest to stack, however square shapes are the most expensive because they are the heaviest for their size, (cubes are heavier than spheres and don't go any farther in a retaining wall).

Triangle rocks are the most unpredictable shape.  These rocks are blasted out of a solid mountain of rock and come in everything from flat slabs to pyramid shapes. This shape is much more difficult to place because each piece is more like a puzzle than a standard brick.  Golden sunset, and Desert Cinnamon are the only two colors that come in this shape.
